Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Avenelle, the app and the avenelle.app website. By using Avenelle you agree to them. They're written in plain language on purpose — there is nothing hiding in here.

What Avenelle is

Avenelle offers daily tarot-inspired readings generated with the help of AI, alongside your own written reflections. Readings are for reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice — and they don't predict the future. The cards offer a lens; your decisions, and the outcomes of those decisions, are your own. If you are facing a serious situation, please talk to a qualified professional, not a card.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Avenelle. Keep your sign-in method secure — you're responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which permanently erases your data as described in our privacy policy.

Subscriptions

• Avenelle Premium is billed through your Apple ID and renews automatically until cancelled.
• Cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
• Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it in iOS Settings.

Your content

Your reflections and notes are yours. You grant us only the license needed to store and process them to operate the service — generating your readings, building your threads, syncing your devices. We claim no other rights to them.

Pulls for other people

When you pull a card for someone and share the link, you're choosing what to tell us about them and what to send. Don't use shared readings to harass, deceive, or harm anyone, and be thoughtful about the context you add about another person — it shapes the reading they receive, though the context itself stays private to you and is never shown to them. If the recipient writes a reply, it's shown to you and stored with the reading. Deleting your account erases the readings you've sent, and shared links stop working.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, probe other people's data, or use Avenelle to generate content that is unlawful or abusive. We may suspend accounts that do.

The service itself

Avenelle is provided as-is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we can't promise uninterrupted service, and features may change or be retired as the practice evolves. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before a claim.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll update the effective date above and note it in the app. Continuing to use Avenelle after a change means you accept the new terms.
